An electric field of electrostatic precipitator itself is an independent electrostatic precipitator. In the electric field, each gas channel is also an independent electrostatic precipitator. Its work is determined by the conditions of inlet gas and dust, as well as the geometry of collection plate and discharge electrode. Therefore, it is most important to create similar gas and dust conditions in each field and gas channel. The gas distribution device plays a vital role in achieving this goal.
The gas distribution device consists of rotating blades in the inlet pipeline and porous gas distribution plates in the inlet and/or outlet area of the dust collector. These screens are modular in design and made of steel plates. They are suspended in the frame of the inlet sleeve of the electrostatic precipitator to keep the air flow evenly distributed on the cross section of the electrostatic precipitator.
Gas distribution screen also called the gas distribution device are as follows:
- Raw materials: The gas distribution device is usually made of carbon steel.
- Material thickness: The thickness of the gas distribution device ranges from 2.0mm to 5.0 mm..
- Arrangement: The gas distribution device is uniformly installed at the ESP inlet.
- Length: Gas distribution devices are usually 1 meter to 15 meters long.
